The King of Hyrule sits in Hyrule Castle. Not long after Zelda returns from the Suthorn Ruins to explain the formation of the Rifts, he, Minister Lefte, and General Wright are caught in a Rift that forms in the Throne Room and are pulled into the Still World. They are immediately replaced by impostors who frame Zelda for the creation of the Rifts and order her imprisoned in preparation for her execution.
