Durant builds complex underground tunnels where it stores food and raises young. It is highly territorial and will swarm intruders. Durant works together to carry heavy loads and defend the nest. Its steel armor makes it difficult to harm. In battle, it uses moves like Iron Head, X-Scissor, and Dig. Durant is preyed upon by Heatmor, its natural enemy. Colonies communicate through pheromones and vibrations. Durant is relentless when defending its queen. Trainers who capture one must gain the trust of the entire colony. Its design draws from real ants and armored insects.
