Helioptile uses its frilled head to absorb solar energy. It evolves into Heliolisk when exposed to a Sun Stone. In battle, it uses moves like Parabolic Charge, Quick Attack, and Volt Switch. Helioptile is timid and prefers sunny environments. It can go days without food if it gets enough sunlight. Its design is inspired by frilled lizards.
