Léon Marchand is one of the great hopes of French swimming for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. With his recent performances, he has a good chance of winning one or more medals. He was born in 2002. A specialist in butterfly and medley events, he won several medals at the world championships. He trains in the United States under the direction of Bob Bowman, former coach of Michael Phelps. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, he reached the final of the 400 meter medley.
