Beartic evolves from Cubchoo at level 37, becoming a massive and fearsome predator. It uses its icy breath to freeze the surface of the ocean, creating platforms to hunt from. Its sharp claws can tear through thick ice and armor. Beartic is an apex predator in its snowy habitat. It is highly protective of its young and will attack anything that gets too close. In battle, it uses moves like Icicle Crash, Superpower, and Aqua Jet. Its fur is insulated to withstand extreme cold. Beartic can swim long distances in freezing waters. Trainers raising Beartic must provide it with a cold environment to keep it healthy. It is based on real polar bears, with exaggerated ice-themed traits.
